If you have an old furnace and are worried it might not make it through this winter season, we can help you determine whether or not you need a new furnace in Minneapolis. If you see any of the following warning signs in your system, then give us a call so we can give you an estimate on a repair or possibly a new furnace in Minneapolis:

  • Strange smells: When you first turn on your furnace after the months of not being used, it will definitely have a strange smell. This will last about an hour as the heat burns off the dust that has accumulated. After this time, however, if you are still noticing a strange odor, you need to give us a call so we can check things out.
  • Constantly running: In truly frigid temperatures, your system might have to run all day and night to keep up with the chill. Right now, however, that should not be the case. If you turn your system on, and it can’t heat the house without running nonstop, then this means that something is not right. Sometimes this can be solved with a good cleaning or by replacing the thermometer, but it could also mean you need to replace everything.
  • Many needed repairs: A furnace that is in good shape will not need expensive repairs on a regular basis. If it seems like you are needing repairs more often than not, then it could actually save you money to just have us install a new furnace so you are not constantly shelling out cash for repairs.
  • Strange sounds: Your furnace will have a sound to it, but you have become familiar with what it sounds like when it is working well. If you are noticing strange screeches, pounding, or rumblings, then there could be a major problem.
